Jane Lake is certified K-21 teacher in New York and Oregon. She has an Advanced Certificate in College Advising from Columbia University. One of the few graduate programs of its kind in the U.S., her training focused on meeting the needs of traditionally underserved students with and without IEPs. This includes learners who are twice exceptional and talented and gifted.
Ms. Lake has an M.S. in Special Education and was a writer/editor for the Early Learning in Math curricula at the University of Oregon. A former reporter for the Chicago Tribune and Able News, she majored in History and Speech Communication at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Since 2018, Ms. Lake has been a private tutor and DOE independent provider of SETSS services for ages 5 through high school. Effective Zoom and in-person options are available.
